It has been a full week since I have started my internship at Stauffer Glove & Safety. This past week I have been in numerous roles throughout the company, learning how everything comes together in the end. I have learned a lot and can't wait to continue to learn more as time goes on.

I spent the first two days of last week in the warehouse. During my time spent there, I learned how all products are packed, shipped, and received in the warehouse. I was able to see how everything was stored, the large variety of products we carry, and how a general warehouse operation works. This was very interesting for me because I have never been in an environment like this before.

After the warehouse, I moved over into the purchasing, support, and customer service wings in the office. All three of these areas would not be able to function properly without the other two. I learned how products were purchased and why they were purchased in the quantity that they were. I was able to see how customer service was run, and who was responsible for the all of the accounts that purchase products through us.

I then moved onto the vending side of our distribution process. Vending machines for large companies and corporations have become a very popular trend within the past five years. I learned all about how these machines function, are stocked, and how reports are ran from them. I went to a nearby customer and experienced the restocking of the vending machine first hand.

This week I will be moving onto sales ride alongs. Here I will be spending time with the sales team, and attending meetings with them and their customers. From this experience I hope to gain knowledge and expertise when it comes to the sales cycle process.

Thank you so much for reading about the experience I have been given here at Stauffer Glove & Safety. Stay tuned for more content next week!
